The opening page of this album reads: "The pictures assembled
in this album are from the collection of Daniel and Burd Patton, collected
over the years from their marriage in 1891 to 1902, when they moved
to the Midnapore district near Calgary, N.W.T., Alberta in 1905. They
continue on through pioneer days of family, farming, and community
and outings until their passing in 1953 and 1955. Grandad was a keen
naturalist. Granny shared this and was an outdoor fan and great companion.
This history, heritage, and family roots put together in 1999 by Grand-daughter
Patricia Lynnette Callaghan, nee Patton. To God be the Glory."

Album 3 |

|
The opening page of this album reads: "The photos in this
album are from the collection of Daniel and Burd (Moon) Patton, married
in Winterset, Iowa in 1891. Any photos that were written on, the names
have been transferred into visible space. Many, unfortunately, are
not identified. I have made every effort to preserve our past of heritage
and history. Daniel and Burd came to Alberta in 1902, it was known
as the North West Territory. They settled at Calgary and later at
Midnapore, to the southwest. Brother Thomas Patton came in 1903. Assembled
by Patricia Lynnette Callaghan, Grand-daughter of Burd and Daniel.
In memory of Granny and Grandad." |
